This course provides an introduction to the present-day United States, including among others its geography, economy, people, languages, regions, and facts of everyday life.
English Literature I
The course provides a survey of the history of British literature as well as its individual literary kinds and genres in the context of the historical and cultural development of Great Britain.
Students will read and discuss individual literary masterpieces falling to the period from the beginnings up to the end of the nineteenth century.
