This course provides an introduction to the present-day United States, including among others its geography, economy, people, languages, regions, and facts of everyday life.

The course provides a survey of the history of British literature as well as its individual literary kinds and genres in the context of the historical and cultural development of Great Britain.
Students will read and discuss individual literary masterpieces falling to the period from the beginnings up to the end of the nineteenth century.

Modern poetry

The course will familiarize students with basic tendencies in contemporary, especially postmodern, American literature.

Cieľom vzdelávania je zoznámiť študentov s možnosťami kvalitatívnej metodológie a jej aplikovaním vo výskume psychologicky relevantných javov. Študent získa prehľad o teoretických východiskách kvalitatívneho výskumu a nevyhnutných predpokladoch pre jeho realizáciu. Orientuje sa v rôznych prístupoch k spracovaniu kvalitatívnych dát, má poznatky, ktoré mu umožnia realizovať kvalitatívny výskumný projekt a interpretovať závery kvalitatívnych analýz.
